Bits and Pieces

Happy birthday Cthulhu!
For the the upcoming Ctrl+Z Coloring Book of Mystery and Wonder.

Gato Giante, the magical cat who'd show up in the Renegade couryard every afternoon around 2. Once I put up this drawing, we never saw him again. Hurrah!

I drew this quick sketch after my boyfriend - currently sailing around South America on the USS Iwo Jima - described his evening corralling drunk marines in a Columbian brothel. It got printed out and put up in the ship's break room.

Zombie Stan Lee and Zombie Jack Kirby designs

next up on my designs for Kirby Krackle's "Zombie Apocalypse" are

Zombie Stan Lee and Zombie Jack Kirby

at first I did Stan because he has a cameo in all the marvel films

but then I thought hey Jack should be in the video too

the band is named after him after all

my sketches

cleaned up and inked in Illustrator
and then Daisy colored and textured in Flash

I had her use a "Kirby Crackle" brush to add a zombie texture on them

and if you still have not checked it out here is the video

Enjoy!

An introduction!

The Ctrl-Zs are a collective of friends and artists who all work in the Flash Animation industry.

Organized by Daisy Church of Girls Drawin Girls, Daisy felt it was time to put together a group of like-minded artists to help promote each other and market their talents in both traditional art and in digital animation.

The mission of The Ctrl-Zs is to help market, promote and motivate a group of professional peers and friends into creating more personal art and animated projects. Our blend of both digital and traditional art is reflected by our name, which is a joke on how digital artists often reach for a phantom "ctrl-Z" (the "undo" function on a computer) when drawing with traditional pencil and paper.
